Honoring the Space Between

Trauma Informed Yoga

Brand Essence

A trauma-informed yoga practice that honors the in-between—where transition becomes an invitation to heal, and healing becomes the practice of becoming. We hold space for movement, stillness, and self-discovery with compassion, presence, and intention.

In the space between, we honor. We heal. We become.

The Philosophy

My philosophy isn't actually about healing.

Healing is the result.

My work is about creating the conditions where healing naturally occurs.

That distinction is profound.

People don't become whole because we heal them.
They become whole because they discover what has always been within them.

How the Work Happens

Three Doorways, One Practice

Movement, sensation, and language are different entrances to the same room. We begin wherever your body and your life are asking to begin.

Trauma-Informed Yoga

Movement held with choice, predictability, and invitational language — so the nervous system has room to settle rather than brace. No adjustments without consent. No pose you did not choose.

Somatic Wellness

Breath, subtle movement, and interoceptive awareness that build genuine capacity for regulation — learning the language of your own body rather than overriding it.

Integrative Coaching

Conversation that holds both the felt sense and the practical: values, direction, and the next honest step through a season of transition.

What It Means

Trauma-Informed Is Not a Style of Yoga

It is a set of commitments about how a space is held. The postures may look familiar. What changes is everything around them — the language, the pacing, the permission, and who holds authority over your body.

Safety is not something I can give you. It is something your nervous system decides. My work is to make that decision possible.

  • Choice at every step. Invitations, not instructions. Opting out is a complete and respected answer.
  • Predictability. You know what is coming, how long we will stay, and what comes next.
  • Consent-based touch. No hands-on adjustment unless you ask for it — and you may change your mind at any moment.
  • Interoception over performance. We are curious about what you notice, not about how the shape looks.
  • Titration and pacing. Small doses, room to return. We work at the edge of capacity, never past it.
  • Clear scope. This is not therapy, and I will always say so — and gladly work alongside your care team.

What to Expect

The Shape of Working Together

A Conversation First

We begin with a no-pressure conversation about what brought you here and what you would like to feel more of. You share only what you want to share.

A Practice Built Around You

Together we shape a first session — the format, the pace, the doorway. Chair, floor, standing, or stillness. Nothing is assumed.

Building Capacity

Over subsequent sessions we widen the window: more choice, more sensation tolerated with ease, more trust that your body is a place you can live.

Integration

The practice moves off the mat — into how you rest, decide, relate, and move through the rest of your life. That is where becoming shows up.

Who This Is For

If You Are in the In-Between

After a loss. After a diagnosis. After the marriage, the career, the identity, the certainty. In the long middle of caregiving or recovery. When you are no longer who you were and not yet who you are becoming — and everyone around you is asking when you will be back to normal.

There is nothing wrong with you. You are in a threshold. It deserves company.

In the space between, we honor. We heal. We become.
